We realise that every renovation process/project is different and every client has a different set of needs. That’s why we’ve put together these steps to building success to ensure a smooth project for you from the very start to the final completion.

Step 1 – Contact Us

One of our friendly office staff will give you a call providing the first opportunity for you to let us know about your project. Some detailed questions will be asked in order to get an accurate picture of what you are hoping to achieve. We will also email through a questionaire for you to complete. This will ensure that we have all the necessary information to make our first meeting go as smoothly as possible.

Step 2 – Lets Meet

Once we have an understanding of what you are after owner and director Jarrod Macredie will make a personal visit to discuss how we can help make your vision a reality. This provides us with an opportunity to go over your specific needs and wants as outlined in the questionaire. Further discussion points will include:

Plans, Council Consent – the whole process

Contract Agreements – what best suits your project.

Pricing – estimate or quote

Timeframe – how long it will take and estimated start time

Project Management – Who, How and Why

Material Selection – The options are endless. Jarrod will take you through the pros and cons of them all.

Step 3 – Plans and Pricing

We are more than happy to arrange pricing from your existing plans, or offer you the complete design & build package which happens in the following order;

  • We transfer your thoughts and dreams onto paper with our local reputable architect, and concept plans are drawn. Alternatively we are happy to work with an architect of your choice to discuss your requirements and ideas. Working with the architect directly enables us to have a better vision of what you want your dream home to look like. This way we all share a mutual understanding of the project.
  • Ball park pricing is given to ensure that your dream home is financially achievable.
  • Consent plans are drawn.
  • Consent ready plans are fully costed in our detailed cost breakdown, detailing all aspects of your project.  Not only do we painstakingly price for every planned detail of your project, but we also employ a third party quantity surveyor to ensure there are ‘no hidden costs’ and our quote is spot on the money.  There are fees to cover the QS and pricing administration required.
  • Budget is agreed upon and plans are sent to the council for approval.

Step 4 – Contract Type

We offer a Registered Master Builders Contract. There are several types of building contracts that can be used and we will discuss the best possible option to suit your needs.

All options are priced in the same way using our 3rd party independent quantity surveyor. Talk to us now.

Of course if your build has any unexpected variations that occur and may impact your budget, or you make a change in your requirements, we will promptly update any of the quotes and timelines where necessary and allow you enough time to make your decisions.

Step 5 – Sign Contract and Get Started

Before starting your job we will provide you with a schedule of works. As a Registered Master Builder we offer the Master Build 10 Year guarantee

for complete peace of mind. Rest assured that in the unlikely event something happens to us you won’t be out of pocket.

We also provide out own ‘GET IT RIGHT’ guarantee.

We will go through all the paperwork with you and ensure everything is taken care of including an agreed start date and the signing of the contract.

Step 6 – Progress Updates

Communication is key throughout the building process.

We will be communicating with both yourself and subcontractors on a regular basis, making sure the building of your home flows in a timely and coordinated manner.

We will contact you weekly during the course of your build to provide progress updates. We can do this either via a phone call, an email or a face to face meeting on-site. The choice is yours.

This is a great way for you to stay in the loop and up to date with what is happening on your build.

If you desire any variations along the way, we will promptly update corresponding budgets, costs, and timelines. We keep you fully informed so you’re not impeded on with unexpected and unforeseen costs during your construction process.

We will have a health and safety site plan operating.

Step 7 – Completion – Your dream Home

Once final payment is made and council inspection is complete your Code of Compliance has been obtained. We are very happy to hand over:

Your house keys
The original working drawings stamped (approved) by your local building authority.
Any / All photos
A bouquet of flowers and a nice bottle of champagne! We want to be first to put flowers on the bench and champagne in the fridge to say a big thank you. We know you had a choice and we are grateful you chose us!
